How to Make Money with Affiliate Marketing Using Facebook

Due to popular demand, i am going to start this series with affiliate marketing. I am going to show you how i do affiliate marketing using Facebook with or without a website.

Now making money with affiliate marketing is easy to do if you know the basics. I see a lot of Nigerians are into blogging and are scared when they hear the phrase “affiliate marketing”. With affiliate marketing, all you need to do is recommend a product and when someone buys through your link, you get paid. Now I made it sound simple and that is because it is.

In the past, to make money with affiliate marketing, you need a good website which means you need to depend on Google to rank your site. You need to do SEO (Search engine Optimization) or buys ads through Google Adwords. Well I was not successful in using Google Adwords or doing SEO in affiliate. So I came up with a plan, to use Facebook. 

I did not invent this plan, far from it. But I used what is working out there and then tweak it a little bit. Using social networking sites like Facebook and twitter is very effective. Any good affiliate marketer knows that using Facebook page is a very good marketing strategy.

Affiliate marketing is never easy for a Nigerian because of the rejections by affiliate networks and the fact that to make money you need to market to the right audience which are Americans, British, Australians and Canadians. How do you do that when you are right here in Nigeria?

Now I am going to show you how I do affiliate marketing using the power of Facebook page. I also use twitter but my main traffic source is my Facebook page with 3,679 friends and over 10,000 real fans in one account and 5,000 friends and 15,696 fans in the other account.

I use my Facebook pages I created specifically for affiliate marketing, CPA marketing and other social advertising promotions. I promote books, kindles, weight loss products, acne products, games, ringtones, CPA offers etc.

Now note this is not a page where I have Nigerian friends. Nigerians friends will not buy my weight loss products. Nigerians will not buy hair removal products; they will rather go to the nearest pharmacy or store to buy, so I won’t waste my time doing that.

Now a successful Facebook fan page can bring

• Regular

•  Laser targeted

• Highly interested

•  Easily convertible visitors to your site who will buy your recommended products.

Now to make this method work for you, you need a Facebook page, a website and a product(s) to promote. If you don’t have a website, you can still make money. With this method, you don’t even need a website, but getting a website really helps a lot.

 How to Get a Facebook Account that Work

First, go to Facebook to register a free Facebook account. If you have read my free eBook on making money with Facebook AdSense, I showed you how to register a Facebook page as an American. But because this is for affiliate marketing, I am going to show you how to add 5,000 American and UK friends in as little time as possible.

Go to Facebook and sign up for another account. Update your profile and register as a girl of about 18-22 years. Find a good beautiful photo on Google images or free image sites and upload it as your profile picture. 

Now you need to add friends, American and UK friends to be precise. These are the friends we need to make money. To add friends quickly, you need to import your contacts from outlook express or email contacts into Facebook.

Facebook will not allow you to a lot of friends in the beginning manually. Plus doing so manually is going to take ages and we don’t have time for that right? With Facebook import tool, you can add thousands of friends at once which you cannot do manually. We are going to use a contact.csv file to do that and I just designed one for you to download here.

You could use an email extractor or email generator to find friends. An email extractor harvest email from the internet for you while an email generator generates email addresses using common names from the countries you want to target.

With this methods, you will have to generate thousands of emails to get few hundreds of real email accounts plus most of them may not even interested in what you have to offer.

If you have an email list, just import your lists using contact.csv file. This is a special format that Facebook accepts which is using contact.csv file. Facebook will not allow you to import email list directly.

How to import Your Contacts

If you have an email list or you can get one (will cost you some money). Now open your contact.csv file. As you can see, it looks like the normal Microsoft excel file but with columns already inserted. You will need to have your list in a notepad.

Copy your list from notepad. Add your email lists under the “email addresses” column. Save your file. I advise you to add at most 1,000 email lists the first time. Once you save, you will get some warning, just click “yes” and “save” repeatedly in the same location you have saved the download contact.csv file.

Now I assume you have completed your girly profile as an American living in Nigeria. Good

Now go to “find friends” on the left hand side of your Facebook timeline and go down until you get to “other tools”. Now click on “choose file” to locate your saved contact.csv file. Click on the file to upload. 

Facebook will scan the email and search for your contacts that are already on Facebook. Any contact that is already on Facebook will be invited to be your friend. Click on “add to invite” and finally “invite your friends” and Facebook will notify them immediately.

Now complete your other uncompleted profile and log out. Note you Facebook may ask you to verify your account with your phone number. Supply that to verify but make the phone number hidden, only to be seen by you. Most Americans are curious and may want to contact you and your accent will give you away.

When I did this with my first Facebook account about a year ago, it was okay and I was able to add 5,000 friends in about 7 days. Now I tested this with another account and I discovered Facebook is now strict with you adding friends especially from another country. 

So Facebook will ask them if they knew you personally and if they clicked on no even if they accepted your friendship, you will get a warning and a friendship add ban from Facebook.

So I will advise you to log out and wait 2-3 days before logging back in. if you have a real list with real people on Facebook, at least 500 of those 1,000 friends will be your friends by the time you log back in. But you cannot escape that 7 days ban, trust me.

At least 500 American and UK friends in 2-3 days is not bad. Plus you’d have got some friends request too from other people. Just add them and you are now fine.

Creating a Page for Your Marketing

While you are still serving your 7 days friendship add ban, create a page by going to http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php. Add a cover photo and a good page profile picture that represents the business or niche market you want to promote. Now invite all the friends one by one.

This is important. 

You need friends that are interested in your market to like your page. If they are not interested, you won’t get many likes. More on this later in this post.

After your page is complete, you can start to promote your products on your Facebook page. After your ban is over, add 2,000-3,000 more friends using contact.csv file again. Now delete the email lists you added before and add another fresh list and save in same location.

With this method, you could end up with 5,000 friends in a month. Once you have added more friends, invite them too to like your page and soon your fans will increase.

Now this is the reason why you need to have a good email lists. You need friends who will naturally like your page because you are creating a page around what they are interested in. if you have a list on weight loss, create a Facebook page on weight loss niche.

You don’t want to send an invite to someone who does not need to lose weight. So having a good list is really important.

Signing up for Affiliate Account

Once you have a friends and fans on your page, sign up with ClickBank and Amazon to start with. These two networks allow you to link directly to their site or vendors’ site.

Keep posting new things on your wall like tips in your niche, products updates and pose questions. Americans naturally like conversations and sharing ideas centered on what they want. This is what you want and in a way, you will be getting people to click on your links to buy your products.

I do like 2-3 updates daily on tips, quotes, news and finally some recommendations. You don’t want to bombard them with products to buy or you will piss them off. You need to make them realize that you are here to help not to sell products.

Now if you have a website, write a review and direct them to that post which has a link in your product reviews. You can combine this with CPA marketing except in CPA, you need a website. (More on CPA marketing in another post)

These are the major niches that I am involved in and are really converting.

• Acne Treatment (Hot niche)
• Dating offers (Hot niche)
• Pregnancy control and Teen parenting
• Facebook applications
• Surveys etc. 

I have a page for each of them and I try to update them at least with two posts a day. (I guess that is why I don’t have time to update this blog regularly).

Now I just taught you a really powerful yet unknown method in Nigeria which most of the Facebook ‘gurus’ secretly use to add thousands of friends overnight and make money.

How to Get Email List That is Going to Make You Money

Now I have a huge email list in all the above niches. I have over 50,000 real email lists US and UK only – 53,000 to be precise. This email list has been filtered to only include people who are on Facebook and are active.

I do affiliate and CPA marketing. Most offers I promote are targeted to Americans and UK residents. So I make sure that my fans and friends are at least 99% from these countries.

Now if you want a real email lists to make you money immediately, you need to get this list. Yes I am offering the list for a small fee. Most affiliate marketers will die to get what I have. Getting fake fans on Fiverr won’t make you money in affiliate marketing. You need real fans that exist, are active and are really interested in your products.

Now I got this list from 5 major niches. So if you want to promote weight loss products, you just need to add friends from the weight loss list group. Your friends and fans should solely be people who are going to buy your weight loss products.

So if you need that lists, it is going to cost you a little. You should be ready to invest in this list and your affiliate marketing dream will soon be a reality.

Making money with affiliate marketing is easy. You just need to know how it works and be smart about it.
